Multiple Chimes on one doorbell over Wi-Fi?

Hi, This is a quick question before I order my second chime. I currently have a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) and a Ring Chime Pro (2nd Gen) acting as a Wi-Fi extender for the doorbell. This setup works perfectly, however, rooms nearer the back of the house are unable to hear the doorbell so I was hoping to install a second chime. The Wi-Fi network runs throughout the house. Is it possible to add another chime? If so, which type should I get? Do I need to use the Ring Wi-Fi or will the second chime work off the house Wi-Fi? If someone who has been down this route already could advise me before I purchase anything else, I would be grateful. Thanks.

Hi @Barry-53021. Yes, you can add another Ring Chime without any issue. The Ring Chime Pro is a wifi extender for Ring devices. If you don't have any other Ring devices you need to extend your wifi network to, you can opt for the Chime instead of the Chime Pro. Both still perform the same function of playing audible alerts when someone rings your Doorbell.

Caitlyn_Ring, Thanks for your reply. I am considering adding some indoor cameras in the same location as the new chime. I guess adding the pro would allow me to extend the Ring wi-fi for them as well, or would I do better just to add them directly to the normal Wi-Fi as they don't need the chimes themselves? Cheers, Barry.

Hi @barry-53021. There's not really a way for us to tell if you would benefit from adding your devices to your wifi or to a Chime network. Once they are connected, you can visit the Device Health menu and look at the RSSI for each device. This will let you know the connection strength of the device and that will indicate if Chime pro will be beneficial.
