Mailbox Sensor Never Finds Sidewalk
troubleshooting

I double checked the coverage map and Amazon assured me that I am in a solid coverage area.  I purchase the mailbox sensor and installed it as prescribed for metal mailboxes before I placed it down on the street which is 700ft or so from the house.   No connection streetside or sitting on the front porch of the house.  Have tripled checked all settings and connections.  Even did a reset cycle and re-enrolled the device in the app.  No connection.   Unwilling to spend an additional $60 for a bridge since I am 700ft away and the bridge is an indoor device (also not getting great reviews).   Other than persuading my neighbor across the street to install a Ring camera (and keep it open), is there anything I can do?   It's clear the "coverage map" is misleading and is not based on actual signal strength readings.

Hi @user_40ef12. Sidewalk coverage in short means that your area is compatible with the Sidewalk network. In order for the Sidewalk network to thrive, your community will have to opt in to the Sidewalk network. The more participating in the Sidewalk network, the stronger it will become.

Yeah thanks.   VERY MISLEADING information on the Amazon Sidewalk coverage site.  Nowhere does it have any disclaimers.  It shows solid coverage when I put in my address.

It's clear now that nobody at Ring has actually tested to see if there is any signal.
