Looking for MAC address on Kidde Smart Smoke + CO2 Alarm

This device is used with Ring but when I look at the details of the device within the Ring app, it doesn't reveal to me the MAC address and IP address of each of my 7 Kidde smoke detectors that I just purchased. I figured I download the Kidde mobile app but when I scan the QR code from within the Kidde app, I thought I would be able to see my device within the Kidde app but instead it tells me to go to the Ring app. But the Ring app doesn't reveal within the Device Health for each of my Kidde smart smoke detectors the IP address or MAC address. I need the MAC address. Does anyone know how I get this from this device? I've reached out to Kidde and they suggested to contact Ring since this is managed and maintained through the Ring app. Thx.

Hi @Stevemb425. It sounds like you've already installed the Kidde Alarm, but were you able to check the device label first to see if the MAC address was printed on there? Out of curiosity, can I ask what you're looking to use the MAC address for? My team is interested in the use case here.

I'll say that I'm looking for the same thing. I need the MAC address because I label everything in my home network to be able to monitor network security and know when unauthorized devices are connected. I also assign MACs to different VLANs and APs based on their function. Knowing the MAC address for the three detectors I have is critical for this.

Knowing all your devices' MAC addresses is basic network security. All other Ring products disclose their MAC address in the Ring app. I just installed 5 of the Kiddie devices and I am unable to give them a name in my EERO app.

Also looking for Mac addresses for multiple Kidde smoke detectors...like others, we actively manage home network and need Mac addresses for this. Even cheap wifi connected devices have Mac address labels or printed on the device.

Has there been any response to find? It is not under the device health or settings in the Ring app. Kidde app kicks over to the Ring application to install. Will not grant on Kidde. Upon calling, Ring says Kidde and Kidde says Ring issue. They have bounced me several times. I uninstalled and reinstalled just in case. The Mac Address is not on the box, paperwork in the box, receipt, back or side of the device or in the Ring application. I have my network setup to bounce new devices after a certain time period, because the kids giving out the wifi for games etcetera. I installed and setup but I need the Mac Address to authorize it to stay on the network. Anyone get some appropriate feedback?

You can call Ring and ask them for the MAC address and IP address. I just got that info.

Call the Ring support number. The first "person" you will talk to is an AI voice. You have to work through the steps with it, then it will connect you to the next level of support. Let them know you have installed the Kiddie Smoke & CO detectors and have them connected to Wi-Fi and installed in the Ring app. They can give you the info needed.

The device name is "Amazon" so it won't be hard to find.
