First post here, so not sure if this has been discussed already.

So, some characters went around trying the doors on cars on the estate last night. A number of us have Ring doorbells/cameras etc and they were caught on camera. But footage is not too useful as it was in the dark and they were covered up anyway.

It gave me an idea though. Instead of waiting to review the footage the next day after the event, what if we could use the Ring Outdoor Siren to fight back in the moment when it happens? My idea is simple - Ring already makes senses for motion detection in the house and on doors/windows, what if they could make a motion sensor that can be fitted to the car door so if someone tries to open the car door(s) at night (with the Ring alarm system set armed) the car door sensor sets off the Ring alarm system? In particular it would be nice if such a sensor triggers the Outdoor Siren to frighten the intruders and send them on their merry way. If it activates the inside Ring alarm system even better, I can then wake me up and call the police. Usually I sleep through these things because I don't want my Ring app to wake me up for every movement around the front of the house.

Just a thought for the product development team at Ring, is that possible?
