Automate Geofence to switch modes
Hello,I would like to request that the Ring app using Geofence automatically change modes to away or home based on your location. Right now Geofence can detect if you left or arrived at your location area set but just sends you a reminder to manually change your mode to home or away. By having mode change automatically this will increase security as you will not forget to change a mode. Before I switched to all Ring devices I used cameras from Honeywell and used the Resideo app to control them. The Resideo app had the same Geofence option as Ring and the same mode settings but Resideo changed the mode automatically. Since the Ring code already detects if you leave or arrive at your set location and sends a reminder, why not just change the mode like Honeywell Resideo does.Please consider this enhancement as I feel many people will enjoy and use it.Thank you,Ron

It actually does not even notify you if you have any cameras that are already armed in home mode, notification is only if your home mode is everything unarmed. Defeats the purpose of modes obviously, there is already an 'everything disarmed' mode. If you have even one camera armed in home mode - no notification when you leave the geofence area to switch mode to away. I have been asking for this basic basic basic 'feature' for over a year - for geofence to work with Modes, not whether cameras are armed or unarmed, and if Ring cannot even fix this, it seems highly unlikely that there would be some automated option added. Completely unacceptable!

I agree this is a much needed feature. I recently switched off of blink cameras and I could automate those through IFTTT app but there seems to be no way to do this with ring. I really expected more and am considering switching back to having blink cameras inside my home. Really ridiculous they don’t have this feature when they already have a geolocation option and different modes. It can’t be that hard to program and would be a huge upgrade. I’m flabbergasted that they don’t have this. I just assumed a company meant to have items that protect your home would know protect it when you leave home

I also posted that request. I also called them to see if there was anything in work to make the App change and they said "engineering would call me back". It has been 10 months and still no call back.
