Smart plug using echo bridge keeps disconnecting

I had no idea that I needed a bridge. The plug connected to my echo and I have used it. But it keeps disconnecting. I connect again and a week goes by and it disconnects. The echo does not go down and it is about 20 feet away. Can I reboot the smart plug? Does anyone have suggestions. I would not have purchase this if I had to buy a bridge.

- TIt doesn’t stay connected. I am not able to reboot it. I can’t access it unless I do it physically. I have to delete the device then add it again just to get it to work and it automatically connects to the Amazon device•
