Is your Intercom wiring setup different from what the Ring app shows? You may have an alternative wiring configuration. This post shows how to connect your Ring Intercom if the standard setup in the Ring app doesn’t match your intercom.Which setup applies to me?In a standard setup, the call wire (the wire that makes your intercom ring when someone presses the button outside) will be in Terminal 1Z. If Terminal 1Z is empty, check whether the call wire is in Terminal 1E instead.* If the call wire is in Terminal 1Z → connect the Ring Intercom C6 cable to Terminal 1Z (standard setup, as shown in the Ring app)* If the call wire is in Terminal 1E → connect the Ring Intercom C6 cable to Terminal 1E (alternative setup — see photo below)
