Had to replace doorbell - subscription?

I to replace my faulty doorbell which has a home basic plan until October 2025. I am told i can’t switch the plan to the new doorbell but do they refund the outstanding months when i open a new plan ?

Hi @user_53efdc. You can cancel the Basic plan for your original Doorbell, then subscribe to a new plan for your new Doorbell. We have steps on how to cancel a Ring subscription here https://ring.com/gb/en/support/articles/0p7eu/Cancel-Ring-Subscription-Plan?hasLangChanged=true.
