I just bough a house with this ring cam the seller is not the original owner -- can I do a master reset and set up for my use.

Hi @user48614. Ring devices can only be set up under one Ring account at a time. If the original owners have not removed it from their Ring account, you will not be able to set it up under your account. Resetting a device doesn't remove it from a Ring account. Yes I have the ring video doorbell generation 2. Battery operated. I followed the instruction in the ring app but guess what? Every time I press the black button it will not set up. Does anybody else with a ring video doorbell? 2. Have the same problem if you guys do, can you please tell me if you guys found a solution

Hi @user_e0dcc1. The setup button should be orange. It's located on the back of the device. I just want to ensure that you are not pressing the doorbell button for setup.
