Upgrade to a new Ring Doorbell

I have a Ring doorbell (1st Gen). I'm thinking of getting a new one and have a couple of questions. 1. I'm looking at the Ring Plus as a decent upgrade. Will that have clearer video, especially at night? 2. My current Ring is hard wired. I followed the instruction I found on using a power supply with a resistor in series that has worked for a couple of years. Would this work with a new Ring Plus without changing anything. Thanks

Hi @TonyMan. If you're looking at the Battery Doorbell Plus, it has 1536p Head-to-Toe HD+ video, and Color Night Vision. Color Night Vision adds color to video in low light for improved clarity and motion detection, but you can also toggle it off to have black and white video at night instead.

The Battery Doorbell Plus can be hardwired to an existing doorbell circuit, as long as it follows these guidelines https://ring.com/support/articles/utvz2/Guidelines-for-Hardwiring-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell. A resistor should not be used with the Battery Doorbell Plus, so that will need to be taken out. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
