Two power sources.
I grow tired having to remove ring and charge the battery. I found a plug on Amazon to plug directly in wall for continuous power. I at the moment am hardwired to a transformer to hear the bells in my house. My question is can I attach both lines to the two screws on back. Will I hear the bell ring in house and phone.

I had the same battery not charging problem using a Ring Doorbell 2 connected to an existing mechanical doorbell. The problem was my old transformer. It was a 16 Volt AC 10 VA. I changed it to a 24 volt AC 40 VA and the battery is now charging. More power with 40 VA and higher voltage with 24 volts.

Hi @user_a0cd2b. No, you cannot attach a plug-in adapter while having the wires from your pre-existing chime connected. You can have only one of them connected at a time.
