Strange light set off motion alert- Doorbell
Last night I got an alert that someone was at my front door. I don’t see a person but 2 small bright dots that are maybe lights? At first I thought is the eyes of an animal, but the orientation of the eyes are wrong. Could it be a flashlight from the street? It is making really nervous and I’m hoping somebody here may have some insight as to what this could be.

Most cameras (Ring included) have IR illumination at night. Unfortunately insects are very reflective of infrared making them appear as bright light bulbs or super bright fireflies. It is unfortunate and very annoying. You can't do anything about it. I had other cameras in the past and could disable the IR illumination from the camera (which was inline with the lens) and used an off-axis IR illuminator that only came on at night. This method drastically reduced the IR reflection back into the lens. Unfortunately that is not possible with Ring.

Hi @user80296. I am not able to tell what those lights are because they are to far out, and I do not want to speculate on what they could be. What I can say is that the spider web moving around in front of the Camera is what might have caused it to start recording. I suggest cleaning the area around it to see if that helps prevent it from recording false motions.
