A video on yoiutube shows it working fine, but I have the same set up and mine didn't work after the first couple of presses. Ring 'support' have been absent on all questions.

Hi Unimpressed. Yes, I could have sworn my door chime rang on the very first press but it's been silent every since. I presume u didn't use the jumper cable either?

Hi neighbors! To add onto what Marley mentioned and further clarify, the Video Doorbell Wired does not sound your existing doorbell chime. This is noted on the Doorbell Wired's product page as well, which you can view [here](https://ring.com/products/video-doorbell-wired). The Ring website states ( see below ) states that it is possible to get the Ring Doorbell to ring compatible wired chimes, however the location on the App doesn't seem to exist where you turn on your in-home doorbell chime. Is there something else that needs to be done? EXTRACT FROM RING WEBSITE Detect and connect your in-home chime Compatible Ring Video Doorbells that are hardwired to an existing in-home chime kit must be configured through the Ring app to work with your in-home chime. For doorbells that require a hardwired power source: Open the Ring app to the main dashboard. Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access. Tap your device's Settings. Tap the Device Settings tile. Tap In-home Chime Settings. Select your Chime Type (Mechanical, Digital, or None) Tap the toggle to turn on or turn off your in-home doorbell chime. Tap Save in the upper right to save your changes.

Hi @user_ae8fd0. The Ring website is correct. It states that compatible Doorbells will ring the chime. The Doorbell Wired is not compatible. There are other Doorbell models that will ring your chime.
