Ring Doorbell Pro 2nd Gen Fried?
We bought our Ring system last July including a wired doorbell pro. We selected it as the information stated that it could work with my existing chime (Westminster chimes IQ America DW-2860 which the specs say is compatible in digital mode). We had the doorbell installed by an electrician. We also installed the Ring transformer to make sure we had the correct one as well as the mini chime adapter that came with the doorbell. Our existing chimes never worked with this doorbell, but at least our Alexa did a good job of telling us when someone was at the door. About 2 weeks ago, in the middle of the night, our chimes started going off over, and over, and over again until we finally opened the cover and disconnected the mini chime adapter which cut the power. The next morning we reinstalled the mini chime and tested that we had power at that point. So we also checked that we had power at the doorbell, because we could not get anything on our apps. According to the volt meter, we have power going to the wire connectors for the doorbell, but no power at the doorbell itself. The blue ring around the button does not light up. Have we fried the doorbell? Or did the mini-chime adapter malfunction and kill it? Do I need to just spend the money to replace it? (It seems like it should last more than 9 months for the amount of money it costs) How do I get some help from Ring for this issue? Right now I have no doorbell at all, so I don't know if anyone comes to my door. I tried asking for help in the Ring Neighborhood app and was told I can not inquire about any Ring equipment there--only missing dogs and cats. All of the troubleshooting information here seems to be aimed at loss of connection with wifi. That is not the problem. Can anyone help me figure out what happened and how to fix this? Thank you for your help!

Hi @user_083ca3. To make sure we're both talking about the correct doorbell, can you share the exact device name listed on the Device Health page in the Ring app? There are a few different Wired Doorbell Pro models out there, and the Wired Doorbell Pro was formerly known as the Video Doorbell Pro 2. The power requirements can vary between models, so I want to ensure I'm sharing accurate information. Additionally, do you know the power output of your transformer?
