Ring delivery problem
Hello,I ordered a Ring doorbell on the 10th of August, at the time the webpage showed the product was in stock and that the delivery date would be on August 18th- this was confirmed by email. On the 14th of August I received a notification that the order had not been shipped- and the link to my order did not mention a new delivery date. I contacted the Ring chat line and was told that the new delivery date would be September 5th, But, I was also told that the order may not be delivered on that date. The Ring representative explained that 'she did not have any idea" when the product would be delivered. So as a result of this uncertainty I decided to cancel my order, I was initially told that the refund would take 5-7 days. I asked why so long, in the end of the conversation the Ring person told me that my payment would be returned today. It will be interesting to see if Ring do give me my refund today?My suggestion would be to note products that are not in stock and available for delivery - before clients can buy them. It also maybe a good idea when clients orders are delayed that clients should be given clear delivery dates. When refunds are made in these circumstances refunds should not take 5-7 days, money gets transferred faster than this and this is just a way for Ring to get interest on customer funds for a week or so.
