I have a Ring 2K hardwired that won't charge when installed.  This is the second 2K doorbell I've used. Replaced transformer with Ring unit. All wiring is good. Checked voltages at unit (17.6V). Tried hard reboot, un-installed and reinstalled both transformer and doorbell. Had my son-in-law, an electrical engineer, check everything. Battery drains from 100% down to about 40% in two weeks.  Minimum traffic, RSS is >35, deactivated sensors, but nothing makes it recharge.

Contacted Ring support with first unit and they put me thru all the steps and finally sent me this replacement unit (same issues with both units), which makes me think something in house is bad, but my original Ring doorbell from many years ago had no issues. Camera feeds and chime work fine, strictly a charging issue.
