My 2019 wired model Ring Video Doorbell Pro has failed. I'd like to replace it with as little effort as possible. Since the view from my doorbell is obstructed by a couple of pillars, I'm thinking the 4k Pro is likely overkill. I'm thinking the "Wired Doorbell 2k Plus" might be correct. Is it an exact replacement for my current doorbell, and will I continue to be able to hear my inside-the-house chime sound off? Does the 2k Plus come with everything I need to replace my failed unit? Can anyone come up with a reason I should spend the extra $$ and get the wired 4k Pro? Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Hi @user_5d6a99. The Wired Doorbell 2K Plus does not ring your pre-existing mechanical chime. Instead, it comes with a Chime Kit Mini, which will ring in place of your existing chime. The doorbell includes everything needed for installation. Additionally, you can find the installation guide here to get an idea of what the installation process entails.
