Motion Detection not working on Ring Battery Video Doorbell Plus - "newest gen"

Hi,I had an older ring doorbell camera for a number of years and had no issues with the motion detection. In November I upgraded to a "Ring Battery Video Doorbell Plus" and since then I have tried everything I can think of to get motion detection working. All the other functions work as expected except motion detection. The camera is installed at the recommended height as well. Things I have tried: Adjusting default motion zone creating multiple motion zones checked modes (away, home etc), notification settings, and scheduled notifications removed the camera from the account, hard reset and reconfigured motion detection frequency adjustments - maximum motion detection threshold adjustments - maximum Removed the protective cover (I bought separately to prevent weathering as happened with last device) rebooting device after settings changes disabled smart notifications tried various combinations of smart notifications None of this has got motion detection working. Support go through the usual stuff covered above. There are no events in the app since November other than people ringing the door, or live view. I have seen multiple posts from people with similar issues that started around the time of the release of this version of the doorbell.I believe it is still in warranty, so if nobody has any suggestions I will likely return it as faulty and look at alternatives.
