Doorbell Pro(Gen 3) Doesn't recognize motion past 10 feet away from camera
I recently purchased a Wired Doorbell Pro(Gen 3) to replace my Wired Doorbell Pro(Gen 2). This doorbell will not recognize motion that occurs more than 10 feet from the doorbell's camera. I've reset it at least 4 times, including twice while on the phone wiht the -1-800 support line. My Gen 2 doorbell did not have this issue, it detected and reported motion over 100 feet away. It appears to be something with the Gen 3. I do not have Birds View enabled. I have sensitivity set to max. The motion zone is set correctly.
I suspect it's an issue with the doorbell I have, but cannot prove it. The 1-800 number told me to reset it and call them back in 2 days, but couldn't provide me with next steps if it is still not working. They did say I could return it to where I purchased it, Ring.Com, but didn't offer a replacement.
Lastly, I have professional monitoring of my entire system, not that would have anythig to do with this.
I'm frustrated, anyone have any suggestions and or are experiencing the same problem?
