Hi @Tshaw1983. When this happens, do you have the Live View open at the same time, or is the motion event still being recorded? If the Doorbell is recording an event, either a motion detection or a Live View, a new event can't be triggered until the first one is done recording.

I don't have live view open, my phones idle in my pocket. I was worried thids was the case, is there no way of queing the chime so it does ring after it senses the motion? I'm not always getting the chime. Some times I do, it depends how soon they press it.

Hi @tshaw1983. What specific model device do you have? Do you have Ring Alerts enabled in your Ring app? If you turn off Motion Alerts, do the doorbell presses alert you as expected?

I have exactly the same problem as do a lot of people. Surely Ring can do some sort of update so when the doorbell is pressed it overrides the motion recording. I am paying for something that is impossible for me to use
