1). I have a gen 1 doorbell camera and am thinking of upgrading to a gen 2. Is there anything “extra” I would need to do other than just re-wire?
2). I’m replacing a battery spotlight camera with a wired. What do I need to do to show this as a “replacement” and not a “new” camera?

Hi @Albany-Mark. For both devices you would be doing a new installation and adding them as new devices onto your account. If you need to remove devices from your account, this Help Center article will show you how.

Not sure on your first question. Second question would be to remove the old device from the ring app and add the new device as it's a different device.
