Alert when phone off

Please someone help I need to setup ring doorbell 3 + chime to motion alert ( need to hear it in the hallway) When my phone and my wife’s are switched off Is it possible? I don’t want to have to have my phone switched on all the time Have an Alexa Is that the way forward ? Many thanks Not wired

Hi @Larkindavid66. You are able to have your Chime alert you for motion alerts from your Doorbell. To do so, follow these steps: * Tap the three-lines on the top left of the Dashboard screen. * Select **Devices** . * Choose your Chime or Chime Pro. * Select **Audio Settings** * Tap **Chime Alerts** and toggle on the "Motion Alert" icon. Make sure you tap save on the top right. Having your phone off will not affect your Chime chiming. You can also have Alexa alert you for motion alerts as well. This Help Center [article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048169011-Helping-Your-Ring-Devices-Work-With-Alexa) will give you the steps to accomplishing this. I hope this helps!
