Video recording length on auto for spotlight pro to be up to 120s

What is the point of auto on spotlight pro if it cuts off at 20 seconds? Why can’t you allow it to be 120 on auto too??? Cameras detect motion and as someone continues to walk closer, the recording stops and it doesn’t catch the details or their face. So you only get a video of them far away!

Hi @user_5dcea1. You can select a specific Video Recording Length, but if Advanced Motion Detection is on, recordings may end early if the motion stops. If you'd like videos to be 120 seconds, We have some tips on how to adjust motion settings, which can improve motion detection, here https://ring.com/support/articles/q986o/using-motion-detection?redirect=true.

I have the Floodlight Cam Pro (wired). The "Auto" time limit setting gave me 120 sec recordings always after motion detection. Under Device Settings/Video Settings I enabled both "Live View" and "Tap Camera Preview for Live View". Afterwards I started getting 30 minute video recordings after motion detection regardless of the Recording Time Limit setting. It took me a week to get the recording length under control again after rebooting the floodlight cam and reinstalling the Ring app had no effect. The Work Around Solution: Disable and Uncheck "Tap Camera Preview for Live View" This gave me back alert recording time limit control again.
