Spotlight Cam Pro Not Charging By Solar

I recently purchased a Spotlight Cam Pro to replace a Spotlight Cam Plus and cannot get the Pro to charge from an attached solar panel. Ring sent a replacement Spotlight Cam Pro that is presenting the same issue. I've tried two different Ring solar panels, both of which will charge a Spotlight Cam Plus perfectly fine, and two different batteries per Rings troubleshooting recommendation. The location the Spotlight Cam Pro is installed in can only be accessed by ladder which makes replacing the battery incredibly inconvenient.

There is clearly a difference in the solar status between the Plus and the Pro (attached images). The Plus solar status is presented as being connected in green letters with addition text explaining that a solar accessory is connected and able to charge the device. The Pro solar status is presented as being connected in gray text with no additional text confirming the "connected" solar accessory as being functional.

I've spent hours on the phone with Ring technical support talking to people that I can barely understand trying to resolve this issue to no avail. I'm on the brink of returning every Ring product I've purchased at this point. Needless to say I'm incredibly disappointed with the Ring product line and the "technical support" that backs it.

Hi @user_c9a35f. Thanks for sharing those screenshots and listing out what our support team has already tried for this. Since you've been in touch with support before, and received replacement devices, it would be best to continue working with them. We are more limited in our scope of troubleshooting here on the Community, as we do not have access to device details. You can reach out via phone, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message with a few details about the concern.

Same here, but as I want to point out to you, newer ring Device's don’t charge until 80% I believe, to save on battery wear. If it keeps it fully charged, the battery does get used up a lot.  From their website:

Reduce Battery Aging with Optimized Battery Charging

You can help extend the longevity of your camera and doorbell batteries by not keeping them fully charged all the time. Ring helps you do this by setting a charging limitation for all solar-powered doorbells and cameras, and plug-in and wired devices that also take a Quick Release Battery Pack.

Certain Ring devices will hold your battery charge and not exceed a threshold of around 80 percent.

The charging limitation exists for the following Ring devices:

I am having the exact same issue with Spotlight Cam Pro Solar. I have 3 cameras.  One charges with solar just fine.  The other two started out charging with solar and now have decided to stop charging.  If I unplug solar, reboot the devices, then plug back in, they charge for a few hours, then stop. This defeats the purpose of solar.

Ring Technical support was unhelpful (I had a similar experience as you).

These devices were purchased about a month ago from ring.com.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
