Solar Panel Not Recognized

I have a Spotlight Cam Plus that is no recognizing a brand new Ring Solar Panel. The panel is in full sunlight and securely plugged in the camera but the app says "Solar Status Not Connected". I've rebooted the cam, did a hard-reset and can confirm the panel is in full sunlight. Any suggestions?
