I have a 3rd party solar panel that can output up to 30W of power. It is connected to my Spotlight Cam Pro via USB-C cable. On the Ring App, the camera always shows that it is charging yet battery 1 always slowly discharges and when that's at 4% battery 2 also slowly discharges. Despite always showing charging when it's clear and sunny out.

I plugged my S24 Ultra phone into the USB-C cable at the camera end and used the Ampere app to see what kind of power was coming through the wire. I registered 4.34V and 1230 mA for 5.34W. This should be plenty to keep the batteries topped off in the warm months. This is more than enough power, especially since the Ring branded solar panel claims to only charge 4W peak.

Why is this camera not actually charging? I've had four different Ring branded batteries in this camera and they all perform the same. The only thing it could possibly be is the camera itself.

Hi @user_9dd5bb. Since you are using a 3rd party solar panel and not an official Ring Solar Panel, there's no guarantee that you'll have normal functionality. I would suggest using only Ring Branded accessories with Ring devices.
