Ring Spotlight Cam Plus Motion Light

Why does my Ring Spotlight Cam Plus light come on even when motion detection is off. I should not have to toggle it off when mode switches to disarmed. Old Spotlight Cam light only comes on when motion detection is turned on at night. This will eat up battery and I don't want a solar panel. This seems like a flaw or a way to sell more solar panels. The light should only activate when motion detection is on.

Hi @DavidW. How do you have your Mode Settings configured? When is your Spotlight Cam supposed to detect motion? Are you seeing Motion Events in your History or Snapshots? Are you getting Motion Alerts? Is your device on a Motion Schedule? Are there any devices Linked to this camera? This information will help me troubleshoot this with you.
