I use my ring indoor cam v2 as an aquarium camera but it struggles to be able to focus seeing that it has to be atleast 2.5-3 feet away, along with it being so fisheyed since it’s for surveillance over a whole room. With it setup 3 feet away for the focal length to work and focus the aquarium becomes washed out due to the intensity of the light within, when positioned closer the light doesn’t wash out the picture and it seems color accurate but the aquarium is then not in focus whatsoever. Would love for a camera that would work against the glass in some type of way and be in focus. I know others do the same as I and make do but I think the market would definitely benefit from a quality dedicated camera. There are other companies that do it but they definitely fall short and ring could definitely be top dog rather easily. Could be used for against the glass window for outside surveillance of a yard or a reptile enclosure or an aquarium.
