No camera display with Echo Show notifications
Echo Show 2nd generation (4 yrs old) and 3rd generation (2 yrs old) and Ring doorbell, around 2 weeks ago stopped displaying Ring videos with notifications. I can go to Live View, or ask Alexa to show me the specific camera motion, but it will no longer show camera motion with announcement. I have performed all of the suggestions given to me: checked that Do Not Disturb is disabled; press/motion announcements enabled; disabled/re-enabled Ring skill and re-linked Amazon account; unplugged device and router for 30 seconds; checked for software updates; ensured Smart alerts Person detection is enabled; removed and reconnected devices to internet. I have done everything except reset to factory settings. Amazon referred me to Ring because they cannot resolve the issue.
My internet was upgraded to fiber. But my cameras worked as usual after the upgrade. Video display with notifications stopped working after a software update on Echo Show about a week after the fiber upgrade. I noticed that with that upgrade Amazon added some AI features that will work with a subscription to these features. I’m wondering if this is what has caused the issue.
