Issue with Ring Camera – No Live View or Recordings
Dear Ring Support,I am experiencing an issue with my Ring camera. In the app, the device shows as connected (I can see the device information), but it does not display a live view and it does not record any videos.I have already reset the camera multiple times, but the problem persists.Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. - Model: Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen) - Signal strength (RSSI): -48 - Yes, there is an active Ring Protect Plan on this camera. - When I try to activate Live View, the app shows "Activating Live View" for a few seconds, then it fails and no video appears. The same happens when I try to watch recorded events — they do not play and show no image. The camera shows as Online in the app and Device Health, but no video is available. I have already tried: - restarting the device, - doing a hard reset (holding the setup button for 20 seconds), - removing and re-adding it to the app, - testing with both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

T@Hi nino88. Does this also happen when you Live View on Ring.com? Try connecting the device to a Mobile Hotspot and attempting Live View. If you are able to, there may be some security settings on your router that need to be changed. If you are still unable to Live View, please send us a private message on Facebook or X @Ring for more assistance. Feel free to include the link from this post in your message.

I have the same issue. It is connected and if i walk by the blye light comes on but not data transmission and video. It shows connected.

UMine is exactly the same. Was working then battery went dead. Put new battery in and now like this

Did you ever resolve this? Having exactly the same issue with a doorbell and outdoor cam. Was working fine a few days ago but now sporadically can view live, but most of the time nothing, not recording video exactly as you had. RSSI is good etc.

CHi @user_fbf8dd. What is the last reported signal strength for both the Ring doorbell and the camera? You can find this on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Are you getting a particular error message when you try to activate the Live View? Does this happen when your phone is connected via wifi or mobile data?

Hi @user_b7f9ee. Which model of Ring Camera is this, and what is the last reported signal strength? You can find both the device name and the RSSI on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Additionally, do you have an active Ring Home plan for this camera? When you try to activate Live View in the Ring app, what happens?
