How to make a warranty claim

Does anyone know how to make a warranty claim? The information on the Ring website is very vague and sends you round in circles. A 1 year warranty is quoted everywhere, but no instructions on how to make a claim. My indoor cam (gen 1) purchased June 23, has stopped working. I have followed all the instructions on how to troubleshoot, but nothing fixes the issue. Have tried new power source, socket, different placement around the house, different router (i have a mesh 6 network), reboot, reconnect, etc. The cam connects ok, but live view times out. Was working fine. All my other cams work fine.

Hi @user4942. If you have tried all the basic troubleshooting steps for your concern and they have not helped, the next best step is to contact our support team for further assistance. Give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Contact-Us). If our support team deems a replacement is necessary, they will do so after verifying the warranty on your Camera.

I just did. In the United States call customer service. 1-XXXXXXXXXX ......................... I had to go through AI and reset the device and my internet. All thing I already did but be patient< AI will transfer you to a live agent. The live agent completed my exchange in a matter of minutes..... I will receive my new camera in 3 to 5 days with a return label!

I purchased a Ring battery doorbell camera from Amazon last year (8/25/25) and it started glitching, not working properly, and doesn't work after the phone is off.  It's still under the one-year warranty, so I needed a new one, which they SAY they'll replace. Only, THEY DON'T!! They're customser service has a work-around for that! They ask a million questions about troubleshooting your phone, with the sole intention of making you crazy enough to walk away! They are pathetic!! I will NEVER buy a Ring product again and I'm telling everyone in my social media feed, Facebook, and on my YouTube channel to STAY AWAY from Ring!!

Hi @user_329aad. The purpose of troubleshooting before we replace a device using your warranty, is to identify the root cause. A new device won't solve your issue if once you install it, you have the same exact problem. If you'd like assistance with the concern you're having, you can post here or follow up with our support team. Try sending us a private message on Facebook, Instagram or X @Ring for more support.
