Floodlight plus light coming on and staying on
Hi. Past few months my ring plus floodlight lights come on randomly, even in daytime and stay on. It is not registering it is on, on the app. I have to physically go into the app, toggle the light on and then off again to make it go off. Rang customer service, did all the trouble shoot, had the floodlights replaced (installation cost I had to pay!) but same problem. Ring say it is a wider problem and lots of people are experiencing this and they are trying to fix. Has anyone else had this and had a solution?

Ring did say that quite a lot of other people are experiencing this issue, however i have had this now for 4 months and it’s still a problem. Reported it 2 months ago and have had no reply from ring. I have called them weekly but they can’t give me an update. They did say lowering the brightness but didn’t say if this was a fix. Not sure how that will fix the problem when it comes on in the mornings when it is bright.

CHi @user_5b68ba. Yes, our team is investigating an issue with the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus not adhering to the light settings. Adjusting the brightness is a workaround, as well as turning the Motion-Activated Lights toggle off. Rest assured our team is working to resolve this as quickly as possible. If you have already contacted support about this problem, you do not need to reach out again. You should receive an email update once the issue has been resolved.

UDoes dimming the light stop it from coming on randomly? What level do you need to put it on?

PI have dimmed one of the floodlights and it seems to have stopped the issue. I've left the other 2 floodlights on a power on reset every day, which stops the issue aswell

Hi. I have same problem with all 3 of my floodlights ! Ring are apparently investigating. It's a real pain as random and intermittent at any time of day or night. The solution workaround I've found in the mean time is possible for 2 of my floodlights as they are powered by WiFi plugs at the mains sockets. So I set the WiFi mains plugs to power off then on every morning. This does a power on reset to the floodlights and has stopped them coming on randomly or intermittently for 24hrs. My 3rd light is wired to a light switch. So I switch it on and off each day. If I forget then the floodlight still comes on randomly. I have let Ring support know this workaround via the forum. No reply yet or solution TC
