Double charged for my plan
I just called ring to find out why I was double-charged for my annual plan and was told that the AI Plan was for professional monitoring. The rep said that this was included in the annual plan until now. Is this for real?

I had the same thing happen. Apparently they "upgraded" us without out consent from the 99.99 per year Ring Multi Plan to the 199.99 per year Ring Pro which includes the AI features. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with customer non-service (after dealing with their stupid AI assistant) to get this resolved. They "helpfully" downgraded my plan back to the original Ring Multi Plan but did not give me a full refund, instead they prorated it. The prorated amount was only $5 less than the full billing, BUT... Considering that I did not consent to the upgrade I was pretty upset that I did not receive a full refund.
I told the agent that for a security company this was a seriously shady and unethical business practice. I would just cancel, but unfortunately that would leave me with cameras that no longer store any video. So I sucked it up and am staying with ring FOR NOW, but if I can find a better solution I will jump on it as soon as the opportunity arises!!!!
