Ring App has me locked to neighborhood in a different city

troubleshooting

My son shared his account with me, I have had a Ring account with monitoring for a long time, but now the Ring App neighborhood is locked to his address in a different city although labelled with the name of my city.

Everything I see on the web says this is a not uncommon problem with the Ring servers when a shared account is added.

The Ring chatbot said Ring support can resolve this but the phone support person in who knows what country was utterly clueless. I asked to elevate the call to someone who actually knew what they were doing and was cut off.

Although there is a button to "remove this neighborhood" it does nothing saying you have devices attached etc blah blah blah.

In essence that seems to mean nuke everything and start over from scratch.

I also get alarms about low battery in devices in the shared location that I do not want to get but can find no way to turn off. Is there a way to turn those off?

Unless you run into things like this, that shouldn't even be possible, you might not realize how just how truly awful the coding is in both the Ring App and the backend servers. that you are relying on and paying for every month.

Hi @riaro. You can also reach out to our support team on Facebook or X by sending a PM to @Ring for further assistance with your concern. As for disabling low battery alerts just for a Shared User, that option is not available.
