Hi @Cdauser. I wouldn't recommend this. Even though the Jobsite Security Ring Alarm system is portable, while traveling you may encounter areas with no cellular service. This is crucial to the systems operation. Also, with constantly moving or being in remote areas, you would not be able to enter in an address. This is also needed for the system to operate. However, if you are staying at an RV park, this may be able to be adapted for that use, but has not been test in that setting.

I'm using a ring doorbell on my RV and don't see why an address is needed for the "system" to operate. If the neighborhood features are considered essential (which I don't consider them), than why can't it just use the GPS location and allow a quick, GPS-based location update. Also, many of us full-time RVers who work remotely maintain Internet access by necessity through either hotspots, RV park wifi, or starlink. There's really no need to make up non-excuses in order to dismiss the relevancy of a rapidly growing market segment.

Hi @user43795. A Ring Doorbell and a Ring Alarm Jobsite Security System are two completely different devices, with two different purposes. With a Ring Protect Plan, the Jobsite Security system requires an address for the monitoring station. If there is a break-in, the monitoring station uses the address on file to dispatch police to the location. If there is no address, this can be problematic. As you suggested, a doorbell does not require the use of a Ring Protect Plan and can be used at any location with an active WiFi connection. I hope this clears up any confusion about the difference between our doorbell and the Ring Alarm Jobsite Security System.
