Hardwiring alarm base station

Question

I'm building a new house and want them to run low voltage wiring to the location high on a wall where I want to mount my alarm base station so there are no wires showing.  What spec would the wiring need to be ? Or alternatively, is there an easy way to convert a regular AC line to the appropriate voltage ? Something that would fit in the outlet box if the actual outlet was removed so I can cover it with the base station?

I used 18 gauge and this kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09H4B32CR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) to do mine. Basically I wanted to make sure I could change out the charger or the base station quickly if either broke.  The AC adapter is in the attic and the base station covers the outlet box next to the front door.  Wire was a simple fish from the attic to the box. Don't even need to solder, but it would be more bullet proof if you did.
