Solar panel does barrel adapter does not fit spotlight camera

Question

Purchased solar panel 4watt on Amazon and the barrel adaptor does not fit all the way in the ring spotlight camera. Why? No obstruction in hole. Is there a very specific barrel adaptor only for spotlight cameras?
