I tested my ring Siren hardwired with Ring adapter (which by the way does not seem to mark the positive and negative spades, could not find the ridge on the positive wire, measured the voltage of course, also you can’t get the spades through the grommet without damaging the gromet a little bit) on the ground.

So then it had a tamper once installed.

As far as I can see and the Ring help chat says I must access the Siren and press the test button in the battery compartment. Can’t be done from the app. Just not an easy process at the top of a ladder. Especially those battery cover screws. 

I did adjust the tamper screw so I think that is good now if it was not before.
