I have had my battery powered ring doorbell for some time..got fed up changing the battery..so I bought a plug in adapter. It shows on the device health as " hardwired". But it's still using the battery.. the battery got to 10% and it went offline.. I thought the whole point was I would " never need to change batteries again" I put the spare fully charged battery in. And it's back online...Im baffled ?

Hi @user_f09d1b. Hardwiring a battery powered device will allow the battery to receive a constant trickle charge. This is not a substitute power source. You can find troubleshooting tips here:https://ring.com/support/articles/nrv6o/Troubleshooting-power-for-hardwired-doorbells
