Mailbox Sensor

Does the mailbox sensor need to be placed on the mailbox door? Because of the location and distance of my mailbox, it probably not work if mounted on door. I would like to place it on the inside back wall of the mailbox and mount the antenna to the mailbox post behind the mailbox put in line with house.

Hi @user_a9590a. You can reference the installation instructions for the Ring Mailbox Sensor here. It's recommended to install the Mailbox Sensor on the door of the mailbox, as it will not get blocked by mail. It might get blocked if it is placed in the back or on the side.
