I recently bought a 2-pack of Ring Window/Door Sensors along with a Battery Doorbell Plus, and my experience has been very frustrating.
I'm a first-time Ring customer. I decided to buy into the Ring ecosystem because the previous owner of my new home had left behind some Ring devices, so I wanted to expand the system.
The problem is with the new contact sensors. The 5-digit code printed near the QR code (O14O4) on the sensor is completely different from the 5-digit code that appears in the Ring app after setup (27372). With the older Ring sensor that came with the house, the 5-digit code on the device matched the code shown in the app.
Is this expected behavior with newer sensors, or could these sensors be defective? Has anyone else experienced this issue?
