Flood and Freeze sensor doesn't cause an alert
flood-and-freeze-sensor
notifications

I recently bought 2 Flood and Freeze sensors.  When they sense water, they cause a pop-up notice inside the Ring app, but the app doesn't send a notification to my phone, so I never know that it has happened unless I happen to open the app and see the note.  I can find no setting to enable notifications.  I don't want a full system alarm, but I do need it to function like my cameras and notify me when it is triggered, even if the base is in 'Disarmed' mode.  Am I missing something?

Hi @RonE. What type of phone do you have and what version of the Ring app is installed? Do you have all permissions enabled and allowed?

Sorry for the late response.  We have Galaxy S22 and S23 phones, and all permissions are enabled on both, and neither were notified.  We have no other issues with other connected Ring devices.  The phone shows that the Ring app is version 3.103.0, if that's what you're looking for, and Notifications, as well as everything else except for Microphone, are allowed.  I have the original (non-Pro) base station.

      Thanks,

      Ron

Hi @RonE. Thanks for this information. A follow-up question-are these devices connected via Z-Wave or Sidewalk? Are they the newest generation of devices? Also, if you check your Settings->Alarm Settings->Alarm Alerts->Push, do you have Water Detected selected?
