Can I use a Ring Chime 2nd gen with my Ring intercom?

I have a ring intercom (only ring device I have) and I want it to make a sound when the intercom is ringing so that’ll can disable the normal buzzer.
i see conflicting info online about whether the chime will work with it. Can someone give a definitive answer?
