Can't ship to Hawaii

Why can't Ring ship to Hawaii? I ordered the Ring spotlight cam (battery) from Amazon with no shipping/delivery issues. However, Ring portal says it can't ship to Hawaii. This was to replace a defective device and I was given a discount code. However, I can't use this to order on Ring.com and it's not recognized on Amazon.

    Hi @HawaiiDude. This device is unable to be shipped to Hawaii due to restrictions on the lithium-ion battery.
