It’s 2026 – Why Does Ring Still Ignore Apple HomeKit and SmartThings Integration?
I am deeply disappointed with Ring and its leadership team. For a product that claims to be world-class, the lack of integration with Apple HomeKit, SmartThings, and other major smart home ecosystems in 2026 is unacceptable.
This isn’t just a feature request—it’s a reflection of how far Ring has fallen behind in prioritizing customer needs. Amazon’s core principle has always been Customer Obsession, yet this glaring gap shows a disregard for that value in favor of short-term profits.
Smart home technology is no longer a luxury; it’s an expectation. Competitors have embraced interoperability, while Ring continues to lock customers into a walled garden. This approach is frustrating, disheartening, and frankly insulting to loyal customers who believed in the brand.
Please, stop ignoring us. Start listening. Integrate Apple HomeKit, SmartThings, and other popular platforms. It’s time Ring lived up to its promise of being a truly connected home solution.

Would love Apple Home compatibility. Now that we're really starting to get serious about running our whole house thru Apple Home I'd be interested in switching to a different camera ecosystem if Ring won't support it.

Just do what most of us did a long time ago. Replace your Ring devices with something else.

This made me switch my entire system over the holidays. In 2026 this is like not having a phone app. Nothing short of a deliberate middle finger to customers
