End-to-end encryption should be enabled by default

End-to-end encryption for cameras is an excellent feature, but it's buried in the settings. It should be the default when setting up a new camera. At the very least, it should be an option in the onboarding process during set up.

I agree.  Hiding end-to-end encryption behind settings puts users’ safety and privacy at serious risk. Most people assume their cameras are private by default, yet the strongest protection is optional unless actively enabled.

Users have been asking for this change for years, ignoring their requests is unacceptable.

End-to-end encryption is not optional, it is a fundamental right to digital privacy. Ring needs to enable E2EE by default on every new camera and account, with no action required from users. Failing to do so exposes people to data abuse, hacking, significant privacy violations, and a wide range of serious consequences and dangers including phishing and financial extortion or scamming.

Privacy and security are NON-negotiable. Making E2EE automatic is not a feature, it is the BASELINE obligation of any company selling connected cameras
