Ring motion detector for garage

Hi
Have anyone got their motion detector in a unheated garage? Looking at the website it suggests you shouldn't place one in the garage due to the changes in temperatures. I currently have a wired alarm system and the motion detector in the garage is fine.

Hi @user_e9cd24. These Motion Detectors use a Passive Infrared system to detect motion. Basically, they measure variation in temperature and interpret that as motion. In an outdoor garage situation, you are likely to have many false alarms.
