Ring deleted my evidence!
I have been with Ring for about 4 or more months now and everything was smooth. I was recording a neighbor who had been harassing me and starring all my videos for evidence. However, one of the times when I added a new camera a message popped up saying my 30-day trial started. I figured this was just a glitch and I was in school and couldn't mess with calling them. Anyhow, the first time it just disappeared when the time was up and I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was due to adding the new camera. The second time it really did delete all my videos, all my evidence. I was Furious. I called them and they said that I put two addresses on my account. Only there wasn't two addresses, it was the same address twice. They said I had to delete my account and the subscription and they would refund my money and I would have to pay again ($199 for the year) right away to get my cameras back up . I didn't feel like I had a choice . Of course, the credit card they had on file was not one I could use so I used another. Either way after going back and forth with them about getting my videos back, there was no resolution. They said I simply could not get them back. Anyway, I am totally beside myself with grief. I needed those videos for legal reasons, so I could end the harassment and now I'm screwed

Hi @user_c9fe64. An active Ring subscription is required for access to video recording, and videos are only stored for the duration of your video storage time setting. It sounds like you set up a duplicate address, which meant the new camera you set up was not listed under the location where your subscription was set up. This is why your videos were deleted once the trial period ended. Once a video has been deleted, there is no way to recover it. Ring does not store backups in order to protect your privacy. I always recommend saving any videos you need to keep to your phone or computer.
