Critical Alerts Not Working

my critical alerts have always worked up until the new iOS update. I wonder if the iOS update interfered with the notifications coming through. I have my entire house zoned out for the critical alert system, but no notifications are being sent to my phone even when I'm on DND. Anyone else experiencing this?
