Strange RING behavior
Greetings! real strange behavior on my wireless RING camera outside. First, when there is activity detected in the camera's view, I get a notification on my alexa device saying that.. "There is motion at your Garage".. And there is HISTORY showing the person on the camera. So far so good... except about 4, 8, 12, 16 minutes later, Alexa is saying the same thing, there is motion at my camera. The problem is, there is NO MOTION in front of the camera, there is NO HISTORY beyond the first initial trigger that started this whole thing.. Its getting very annoying! But wait, it gets worse. Thinking about just shutting off notifications all together, I'd go into the configuration sprocket of my garage camera, there is a button saying "Motion Alerts" that is OFF NOW. And a bell with a slash thru it on the camera view to prove it. Motion Detection is ON. So I am thinking this would sense movement, start recording that if sensed but NOT TELL ME ABOUT IT.. Right? Wrong!!! IT doesn't work, this setting (if I am correct about it) is totally ignoring the "no motion alerts" - Its telling me every 4 minutes that activity was seen at the camera.
Anyone go through this? Anything fix it... about ready to remove this altogether.....

Hi @user_55449c. The Motion Alerts toggle controls motion notifications from that Ring camera or doorbell on that specific phone. It does not control notifications from connected Alexa devices. Based on your post, it sounds like your Ring camera and the Ring app are functioning properly, and the issue is isolated to the Alexa integration. I would recommend unlearning the Ring Skill in the Alexa app, then relearning it to fix the duplicate alerts. If you want to silence alerts on Alexa devices, you would need to do this in the Alexa app.
